How to Get More Customers for your Business

Written by admin on August 14, 2009 – 10:56 am -

For over two years, my business partner and I conducted webinars 5-nights a week. During one training we focused on what most people call the “elevator pitch” but we took it to another level.

Our goal was to show people how to get more customers for their business without  having to do anything out of the ordinary.

Basically, we told the attendees…

“…If people are not getting excited about your product or service as you are telling them about it then you need to gain a better understanding of your market and reword your pitch or get a day job and focus on retirement as you may not make any money.”

So, what are saying to your potential clients to get them to work with you and not your competition? Take time right now and write it down.

Here’s one of many that I use:

“I help businesses increase net profits by 15% within 60-days or less utilizing the Internet with a minimum investment starting at $750 a month”

Notice what I did with that pitch?

  1. I told what I can do (increase revenue)
  2. I stated the results I can get (15%)
  3. I gave a time frame (within 60-days)
  4. I told the tool I would use (the Internet)
  5. I told them exactly what it would cost to work with me ($750 month)

When I’m done talking if they do not ask me, “How do you to that” they are…

  1. not interested
  2. not my target market, and
  3. will not be able to waste my time

Now take a look at your pitch and begin to revise it as people want to work with you but they do not have a reason to do so. Give them one by getting them excited.

It’s really that easy, so please stop making things so difficult. :)

Until next time!

Take care, be safe and stay blessed
