Why do you want to learn how to create an online business? Is it for the money? To have more time? To become the “BOSS?”

You should be able to tell anyone who asks why you want to start your business without thinking about it. If you cannot then maybe you are starting a business for the wrong reasons.

In this, “How To Create an Online Business” series, you will begin to understand what it takes to succeed online. However, I must warn you…

…it will not be pretty. While money can be made and you can free yourself from a J.O.B. it requires effort, patience and fortitude to name a few.

Let’s begin.

Your first move will probably be to find a hot product or service to get involved with and promote the heck out of it online. In time, you will most likely get frustrated because you may not be making as much as you thought you would.

Here is the first rule…

Rule #1: Read, Research, Compare, Apply, Learn and Repeat

In order to fully understand this online marketing stuff and how to create an online business you have to read about businesses and individuals who are succeeding at it in your potential market.

Next, you want to research what’s working for your competitors as well as the target market too.

Then you want to compare the different products/services, strategies, tactics and tools. You do not have to spend a dime yet.

Once you have an idea of what products/services you would like to promote and the tools you will use for your strategies and tactics it’s time to finalize your plan then implement it. You can take your time here as you do not want to rush.

As you watch your plan unfold you should be learning from the good and bad things that are occurring. This will require you to set up a stats program on your site. We will show you how to do that too!

Once you measure your success or failure you can then make the appropriate adjustments and repeat the process again.

Now let’s be very clear here as this is a top level overview of a simple process. It’s just a guide to point you in the right direction.

So, for now you have an assignment. In order for you to learn how to create an online business you should perform the following activities:

1) Write down why you desire to start a business from home
2) What product or services do you want to promote and why?
3) Who are your competitors?
4) How do they promote their products/services

That’s all you have to do for now.

You’re probably thinking, “Wait a minute…I did not sign up to do any work!” Exactly, which is why you have it.

You see unlike many people online I’m here to tell you that it takes work to get the money and freedom you desire. It doesn’t mean it will always be work but it’s required at some point. And since you are just beginning and desire to do it right it’s important you get the research done first.

You will learn things you were not aware of that will save you a ton of time and thousands of dollars. Trust me on this! Just do the simple assignment and you will begin to understand how to create an online business that will last for the long term.
